$10M gift launches new Mayo AI program

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has received a $10 million gift to launch an artificial intelligence education program.

The gift, provided by the Harper Family Foundation, will enable the health system to launch the Mayo Clinic Harper Family Foundation Artificial Intelligence Education in Medicine Program, according to a news release from Mayo. 

The program will train Mayo Clinic staff and the next generation of medical professionals to ethically implement AI technology for the benefit of patients.
