The deal, reached Sept. 6, covers hospital workers represented by the Service Employees International Union Local 49. It addresses issues such as pay, staffing and health costs.
The deal includes a 3 percent raise in each year as well as a 3 percent to 4 percent market adjustment salary increase for certified nursing assistants, housekeepers and food service workers, SEIU Local 49 Healthcare Director Steven Ward told The Register-Guard.
The agreement came as workers planned to walk off the job g Sept. 9 through Sept. 12. The strike was canceled after the hospital management and workers reached the deal.
McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is owned by Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health. SEIU Local 49 has more than 15,000 members in Oregon and Washington state.
