Parkview Community Hospital employees ratify contract agreement

Healthcare workers at Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, Calif., ratified a contract agreement with management.

The agreement, announced in a Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West news release, covers more than 500 union-represented employees. These include nurses, nursing assistants, medical records, food service, secretaries, respiratory therapists and many others.

SEIU-UHW said this marks the workers' first contract agreement with the 193-bed nonprofit hospital, which, according to The Press-Enterprise, revealed in October it is seeking a potential buyer. No additional details about the agreement were provided.
