Mayo Clinic to change women's dress code: 3 things to know

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic is changing its dress code policy for women, according to KTTC.

Here are three things to know about the wardrobe policy change.

1. The policy change relaxes hosiery requirements. Mayo Clinic has enforced a hosiery requirement for many years, but is now making it optional for women employees to wear the undergarment.

2. The policy change has sparked feelings of excitement from some female employees. "[Nylons are] very confining, very itchy, tight, you know?" Senior Web Production Specialist Danielle Teal told KTTC. "It's just exciting to have a choice whether or not to wear them."

3. The policy change takes effect Friday.
