Employees at Worcester, Mass.-based University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care's Marlborough (Mass.) Hospital voted to join the State Healthcare and Research Employees Union, according to a Worcester Business Journal report.
The vote covers 220 hospital workers, including certified nursing assistants, radiology technologists, mental health counselors, billers and others, the report states, citing a union news release.
SHARE, an affiliate of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, already represents employees at UMass Memorial Medical Center and UMass Medical School, both in Worcester. Now, Marlborough Hospital will have a separate chapter.
