Vera Bradley to design medical uniforms, accessories

Fashion retailer Vera Bradley revealed plans to enter the $1.8 billion medical clothing and accessories business, according to InvestorPlace.

Officials said the company’s new line of medical clothing and accessories will debut in spring 2018. It will consist of medical uniforms, tote bags and ID badge holders, among other products, according to the report.

Roughly 20 percent of Vera Bradley customers self-identified as working in the healthcare industry in a poll conducted by the company, according to the report.
