The system does not know who or how many of its 3,600 employees will be let go, according to the report.

St. Mary’s is trying to cut costs due to reduced admissions and other financial pressures, the Courier Press reported. If the staff reductions did not occur, the system would be facing a $15 million deficit going into fiscal year 2014, which starts in July.
