Members of the Ohio Nurses Association, an AFT affiliate, have voted to ratify a new labor contract with ProMedica Defiance (Ohio) Regional Hospital.
The three-year agreement covers the hospital’s 105-member nursing union, according to the ONA.
Neither party disclosed details about the deal. However, union representatives said in a May 7 news release that it “secures improvements to support quality patient care and a resilient workforce.”
“We are delighted to have reached our mutual goal of establishing new contract terms that reflect the priorities of both parties,” a hospital spokesperson said in a statement shared with Becker’s. “We deeply value the work our nurses and other care team members do each and every day, and we remain committed to supporting them as we all work together to provide the community with high-quality, safe and compassionate care.”
ProMedica Defiance Regional is part of ProMedica, a 10-hospital system based in Toledo, Ohio.
