But mentoring isn’t just important for nurses at the start of their career. Nearly half of surveyed nurses (49 percent) said the need for mentoring has increased since they started their career, and just 18 percent said the need has decreased.
“The study made clear that…mentoring and continuing education programs are a vital piece of individual career development and assist nurses’ ability to excel at efficient, compassionate patient care,” said Jason Lovelace, president of CareerBuilder’s healthcare division, in a news release.
