Jeff Bloemker, CEO of Ray County Hospital and Healthcare in Richmond, Mo., has been placed on administrative leave, according to a June 12 report from KMZU.
The hospital’s board took the step during its May meeting, the radio station reported.
Earl Sheehy, who had served as CEO from 2014 to 2022, took the helm as interim CEO.
The hospital declined to comment about the leadership change.
Mr. Bloemker was also elected the 2025 president of the Missouri Hospital Association’s North District Council. He no longer holds that office either, as the council has named Patrick Avila president-elect, an MHA spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s.
Mr. Bloemker joined Ray County Hospital in September 2022, coming from Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, according to his LinkedIn page.
Ray County Hospital is a critical access hospital that opened in 1956. The hospital board’s next meeting is scheduled for June 18.
