Through the agreement, Mass Bay nursing students can take undergraduate classes at the community college for a lower cost than a four-year university. Once they earn their associate’s degree in nursing, they can seamlessly transfer 75 credits to Framingham State’s bachelor’s degree program.
The partnership was initiated in part to help meet the state’s current demand for nurses with a bachelor’s of science in nursing.
“Facilities are looking for bachelor’s degree nurses, and we really need to help our nursing graduates across the state to get their bachelor’s, so that they can meet the needs of healthcare providers,” said Patti-Ann Collins, DNP, MSN, RN, director of nursing at Mass Bay.”
