The cuts to benefits include freezing vacation accruals through September, reducing 401k matching by 0.5 percent and postponing merit raises until 2014, according to the report.
HMA officials said the cuts were made in response to sequester cuts to Medicare payments, according to the report. HMA has 71 hospitals spread across 15 states.
