According to the report, the ballot measures — part of a “Act Now for a Healthy Oregon” campaign — include the following:
• Cap hospital executive salary to 15 times the salary of the lowest-paid employee
• Require hospitals to spend at least 5 percent of service costs on charity care
• Require hospitals to publicly post common procedure costs
• Limit prices for larger hospitals
• Require hospitals to publicly post quality of care data
The measures were filed for the November 2014 ballot.
