This percentage is unchanged from October’s results and is approximately equal to Gallup’s calculated monthly averages since March. Employee engagement has risen from an average of 31.5 percent in 2014 to a year-to-date average of 31.9 percent.

Gallup considers engaged employees to be “involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work.”

The poll results are based on telephone interviews with 6,751 adults conducted between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30. The participants were all full-time or part-time employees, and were aged 18 and older.
