Furloughs Begin at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems

About one-third of employees at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo., have been furloughed starting this week, according to the Examiner.

The organization has $4 million in debt and is on the brink of shuttering its services, according to the report. The furloughs are helping to keep its doors open.

PMHS employs about 300 people.
