Nurses at the hospital’s Mountain View, Calif., and Los Gatos, Calif., campuses, represented by the Professional Resource for Nurses union, ratified the agreement Oct. 28, according to the report. The new contract includes a wage increase of approximately 10 percent for all nurses over the next three years, among other things.
PRN sought wage increases to make the pay received by nurses at El Camino Hospital comparable to their peers on the Peninsula and in the greater Bay Area, according to the report.
The new contract was reached after El Camino hospital nurses rejected a tentative agreement with the hospital last month.
