Nurses at Aspirus Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors, Minn., have ratified a labor contract.
The agreement covers 24 members of the Minnesota Nurses Association and expires Sept. 30, 2028, according to the union. The agreement follows six months of negotiations.
During bargaining, nurses sought to preserve existing insurance and retirement benefits, and improve equitable wages, the union said.
“After a lengthy negotiation process, nurses have voted to approve a tentative agreement that represents a strong step forward,” Renee Lasky, RN, said in a March 20 Minnesota Nurses Association news release. “By voting to ratify this agreement, it reflects fair and reasonable compromises on both sides of the table. This hard-won deal is the result of creative collaboration focused on supporting nurses and the patients we serve.”
