AHA: Nearly 75% of Hospitals Implement Multidisciplinary Care Teams

Nearly three-quarters of hospitals that are members of the American Hospital Association are implementing multidisciplinary care teams, according to an AHA News Now report.

The AHA Workforce Center conducted a survey on workforce planning in March. The survey showed that in addition to the nearly 75 percent of hospitals implementing multidisciplinary care teams, 62 percent of hospitals are training multidisciplinary care teams.

A report by the AHA Primary Care Workforce Roundtable suggested multidisciplinary care teams are key to effectively delivering primary care, according to the AHA News Now report.
