The hospital is cutting costs due to expected revenue loss from state reimbursement and the sequester, according to the report. The cuts will result in layoffs, though officials said they could not specify how many employees will be affected.
“We’re not sure of the number right now, but the layoffs will be across all levels,” Stuart Marcus, MD, the hospital president, told the Connecticut Post.
