The goal of the affiliation is to prepare for changes in the national healthcare landscape while making quality healthcare more accessible, affordable and efficient by sharing resources and expertise. The affiliation would allow Providence Southern California and Facey to serve more patients and to develop an integrated health system, according to the release.
Providence Health & Services-Southern California operates five acute-care medical centers in the Los Angeles area: Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, Providence Tarzana Medical Center and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers in Torrance and San Pedro. Facey Medical Group employs more than 160 physicians in multiple specialties, and Facey Medical Foundation operates 10 multispecialty medical group clinics and two urgent care centers.
