A spokesperson for the three-hospital WCH told Heart Connecticut Media, the parent company of The Hour, the rumors were “not true.” The representative did not elaborate further on the issue.

Northwell recently formed a clinical affiliation with Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., and maintains several alliances with hospitals across New York and Connecticut.

In May, WCH officials declared the organization would undergo a restructuring, which led to dozens of layoffs and the appointment of Richard Gemming as vice president of the organization.
