Officials shared news of the agreement with Webster County commissioners during a meeting June 28.
During the next several months, leaders from both organizations will conduct an analysis of potential cost saving measures, efficiencies of scale, shared physician recruitment and contractual relationships, among other measures, to determine the best type of partnership for the organizations. The affiliation will not result in a merger or acquisition, officials said.
Officials did not provide a timeline for negotiations, according to the report.
