CEO Mel Pyne Leaves His Post at PeaceHealth for Family Reasons

Mel Pyne, CEO of the Oregon region of Bellevue, Wash.-based PeaceHealth, is stepping down from his post to be closer to his family in Atlanta, according to a Register-Guard news report.

Mr. Pyne, who served as CEO for the past six years, oversaw Oregon’s Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Cottage Grove Community Hospital, PeaceHealth Medical Group, Peace Harbor Hospital in Florence, South Lane Medical Group and Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield.

Tom Reitinger, an associate at a consulting firm, has been hired to serve as interim CEO for 12-18 months until PeaceHealth finds a permanent replacement, according to the news report.
