University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to purchase Iowa City Heart Center for $1.2 million

Iowa City, Iowa-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics will purchase business assets from the Iowa City Heart Center for $1.2 million, according to an Iowa City Press-Citizen report.

The purchase, which will be funded with UIHC monies, will include “offering academic appointments to four cardiologists and acquiring the center’s non-physician workforce,” according to the report.

The purchase does not involve real estate.
