Here are four things to know about the proposed affiliation.
1. The proposed affiliation must now receive final approval from UCSF Health’s board to officially be completed.
2. Under the proposed agreement, Sonoma Valley Hospital and UCSF Health will team up to provide high-quality healthcare to residents of Sonoma Valley through the creation of an integrated healthcare network.
3. UCSF Health will also hire a medical director for Sonoma Valley Hospital.
4. Sonoma Valley Hospital CEO Kelly Mather said the organizations have maintained an informal working relationship for “a number of years.”
