UCSF, Chinese Hospital expand partnership

UCSF Health and Chinese Hospital, both based in San Francisco, have signed a new agreement to build upon a three-year partnership between the two parties that resulted in a new primary stroke center at Chinese Hospital..

The new partnership will focus on increasing appropriate linguistic and cultural services at Chinese Hospital. Additionally, the partnership will work to develop new physician and administrative services programs, according to an April 26 UCSF news release.

“Through our growing collaboration, we will expand access to much-needed complex healthcare services for all of the patients served by Chinese Hospital,” UCSF CEO Suresh Gunasekaran said in the release. “This alliance is rooted in UCSF Health and Chinese Hospital’s shared values and is a powerful step toward reducing disparities in the access to care and delivering equitable health outcomes for all segments of our diverse and vibrant San Francisco community.”
