Two Texas Hospitals Announce Merger

King’s Daughters Hospital and Scott & White Healthcare, both located in Temple, Texas, announced their plans to merge, according to a report by local ABC affiliate, KXXV-TV News.

The merger will transfer ownership of King’s Daughters to Scott & White, which will convert the facility into a regional children’s hospital.

The new facility with retain the King’s Daughters name and will be the only pediatric center of its kind between Austin and Dallas, according to the report.

The potential merger between the two organizations was first announced in February.
