Two Michigan Health Systems Discuss Affiliation

Northern Michigan Regional Health System in Petoskey and Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Mich., are exploring a possible affiliation, according to a report by the Harbor Light.

Spectrum Health, a not-for-profit health system in western Michigan, includes seven hospitals and more than 140 service sites.

The affiliation would help sustain the Petoskey facility, according to the report.

A final decision on the affiliation, as well as details of the agreement, will be discussed in the coming year.
