The health system currently operates 25 urgent care facilities across Pennsylvania and one in Delaware, according to the report. If the transaction is completed, it will be down to nine urgent care facilities across Berks, Montgomery and Chester counties in Pennsylvania.
Tower Health did not disclose who the potential buyer is, but told the Journal that it would be a private urgent care operator, not a health system.
The move is another step in Tower Health’s plan to improve its financial standing.
Last month, the system appointed Mike Eesley, its former chief transformation officer, as CFO.
