Mr. Smith will be based in and oversee HealthCare Appraisers new Dallas, Texas office.
During his 14-year tenure at HCA, he performed regulatory compliance
reviews and evaluations on hundreds of third-party appraisals. He was
also the chief architect of HCA’s qualification review process and
uniform scope and engagement requirements for third-party appraisers.
As part of this activity, Mr. Smith managed the outside appraisal
process for hundreds of physician practice acquisitions and
divestitures at HCA.

Prior to working for HCA, Mr. Smith operated his own business
consulting practice, served as the general accounting manager for an
international high-tech manufacturing company, and was an auditor for
Arthur Andersen & Company. He holds the Accredited in Business
Valuation (ABV) certification from the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants.
