Titus Regional Medical Center, a 174-bed acute care facility in Mount Pleasant, Texas, is exploring a strategic partnership with a larger health system.
“As the region’s last independent rural health system, we have worked tirelessly to preserve local access to high-quality care,” CEO Patricia Boeckmann said in a June 11 news release. “In the face of growing financial and regulatory pressures, we believe this step is necessary to protect our mission, sustain our workforce and ensure the continued presence of key services in our community.”
Titus Regional will explore multiple partnership opportunities to identify a health system that shares its cultural values, is committed to preserving essential healthcare services, and will invest in the long-term health of the local community.
Recognizing the hospital’s roots and ongoing support from local taxpayers, the hospital’s leadership will establish an advisory council tasked with providing oversight and ensuring transparency throughout the partnership process. The council will be responsible for monitoring developments and communicating regular updates to stakeholders.
