According to St. John’s officials, the partnership will provide patients with access to Huntsman specialists and research trials, and provide physicians and medical personnel with the educational opportunities associated with a large cancer center, according to the article.
“This is another real milestone for people in our community to be able to get top-quality access to care at the University of Utah,” said St. John’s Trustee Barbara Herz. “This is a wonderful thing for people to be able to do. It does not limit their choices in any way — they can still go to places…this [partnership just] gives people a path of least resistance to outstanding cancer care.”
