Details on the proposed partnership have not been released. According to St. John’s officials, the partnership will provide patients with access to Huntsman specialists and research trials, and provide physicians and medical personnel with the educational opportunities associated with a large cancer center, according to the article.

“This is another real milestone for people in our community to be able to get top-quality access to care at the University of Utah,” said St. John’s Trustee Barbara Herz. “This is a wonderful thing for people to be able to do. It does not limit their choices in any way — they can still go to places…this [partnership just] gives people a path of least resistance to outstanding cancer care.”
