South Jersey Healthcare, Underwood-Memorial Merger Receives Attorney General Approval

Vineland, N.J.-based South Jersey Healthcare received state approval to merge with Woodbury, N.Y.-based Underwood-Memorial Hospital, according to a South Jersey Times report.

South Jersey Healthcare and Underwood-Memorial announced the potential merger in January. The deal received federal approval earlier this year. With the approval from New Jersey Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa, the two hospitals can move forward to finalize the deal.

According to the report, the hospitals expect to finalize the merger in November.
