Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York Changing Name

Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park, N.Y., is changing its name to the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, after the Cohen family’s foundation donated $50 million to it, according to a report by Newsday.

The 154-bed hospital, part of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, plans to raise a total of $140 million for an expansion that will add 50 more beds.
