Sanford Health Finalizes Merger With Hillsboro Medical Center

Hillsboro (N.D.) Medical Center and Sanford Health, based in both Dakotas, finalized their merger agreement last month, and effective Jan. 1, Hillsboro Medical Center is now known as Sanford Hillsboro Medical Center.

The affiliation between the two organization originated in April. Sanford Hillsboro Medical Center is a 16-bed critical access hospital and has 148 employees. Sanford Health had managed Hillsboro since 2000.
