Clinton, Tenn.-based Restoration Healthcare will appoint a hospital administrator to run Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell, Tenn., after the Claiborne board of directors accepted its bid over several other health systems, according to a report in the Knoxville News Sentinel.
Claiborne is currently managed by Knoxville-based Mercy Health Partners, which merged with the hospital’s previous manager Baptist Health System of East Tennessee. The contract was set to expire on June 30, but Mercy received a 30-day extension while the board reviewed other proposals.
