Quorum to sell 146-bed Texas hospital

Quorum Health entered into a definitive agreement to sell Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas, the Brentwood, Tenn.-based hospital operator announced Jan. 7.

Officials expect to complete the divestiture by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

The 146-bed hospital was among the five facilities Quorum officials noted they intended to sell under a letter of intent outlined during its third-quarter 2018 earnings call.
