The 11-hospital system signed an agreement to sell the Herrick Hospital facility to an affiliate of Behavioral Health Consulting Partners of North America, according to a notice on the City of Tecumseh‘s website.
The updated facility could be used as a training location for the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Medical School’s medicine and psychiatry fellowships. The upgrading of the facility is expected to take about 18 months, according to the report.
The sale agreement was signed June 29, according to The Daily Telegram.
