The 27 clinics, named Piedmont QuickCare at Walgreens, were designed to compliment Piedmont Healthcare’s telehealth service, primary care facilities and urgent care clinics.
The Piedmont QuickCare locations will have extended walk-in hours and online scheduling. They will also offer healthcare services for minor injuries and non-life-threatening illnesses.
“Our goal in opening Piedmont QuickCare locations is to make it as easy as possible for people to get the care they need, when they need it,” Kevin Brown, CEO of Piedmont Healthcare, said. “We’re proud to be able to expand into these areas and provide high-quality, patient-centered care close to home for our patients.”
News of the clinic openings comes about six months after Walgreens and Piedmont Healthcare announced they would form a collaborative council to share ideas to improve patient care, quality and satisfaction while simultaneously reducing cost of care.
