Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross signed a new multiyear agreement, the organizations said Jan. 16.

Vinton, Iowa-based Virginia Gay Hospital will join UnityPoint Health-Cedar Rapids (Iowa) as an affiliate and end its previous agreement with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, according to The Gazette.

Ripley, W. Va.-based Jackson General Hospital will join Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System pending approval from the West Virginia Health Care Authority.

BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York reached a three-year agreement with Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health and its affiliated physicians, Catholic Medical Partners, according to The Buffalo News.

Anthem Medicare Advantage members in California and New York can purchase over-the-counter medications and health supplies at CVS Pharmacy stores using their health plan allowance beginning in January, the companies said Jan. 14.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare signed a multiyear agreement that will allow Humana members to access the system's hospitals, outpatient centers and employed physicians at in-network rates through May 2023, the companies said Jan. 15.

McKees Rock, Pa.-based Ohio Valley Hospital has finalized its affiliation with Beaver, Pa.-based Heritage Valley Health System and will now be a subsidiary of the system.
