Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems completed the sale of two hospitals in Texas Oct. 27. 

Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tenn., is not renewing its pediatric care contract with Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center next year, according to The Tennessean. 

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems announced Oct. 23 that it has completed the divestiture of San Angelo (Texas) Community Medical Center.

Ten transactions involving hospitals and health systems were announced, finalized or advanced in the last three weeks:

A bankruptcy judge on Oct. 21 authorized the $20 million sale of Astria Regional Medical Center in Yakima, Wash., and a neighboring medical office building to an investment group, according to the Yakima Herald. 

CentraState Healthcare System, a single-hospital system based in Freehold, N.J., has signed a definitive agreement to join Atlantic Health System, a seven-hospital system based in Morristown, N.J.
