Oregon’s Mountain View Hospital, St. Charles Health System Intend to Deepen Relationship

Mountain View Hospital in Madras, Ore., and St. Charles Health System in Bend, Ore., are considering ways to deepen their strategic relationship including a lease agreement, a consolidation of assets or other legal business ventures.

St. Charles Health has provided management services to Mountain View since 1998, which includes employing the CEO and CFO and providing leadership expertise to its board of directors. The two organizations also have an IT services agreement, a home health and rehabilitation services agreement and a partnership for general surgery coverage for Mountain View through St. Charles Medical Group. The two entities have also partnered on health initiatives, breast cancer screening and education efforts and emergency preparedness plans.

Discussions on how to expand their relationship will occur over the next few months.
