Opelousas General Health System partners with outpatient facility operator for cancer treatment

Opelousas (La.) General Health System is partnering with outpatient cancer care center operator e+CancerCare in Nashville, Tenn., to expand radiation oncology services at OGHS’s south campus, according to Daily World.

Under the terms of the agreement, e+CancerCare will manage the health system’s radiation oncology program, which OGHS will move to its south campus.

The financial terms of the agreement, if any, were not disclosed.

“We believe the best place for patients to receive care is in their own communities,” said e+CancerCare CEO Tom Weiss. “We are honored to partner with a well-respected community hospital like Opelousas General to provide a world-class, innovative facility in their own backyard.”
