HCA Backs Out of Potential Salinas Valley Healthcare Merger

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA has pulled out of the pool to potentially merge with Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Healthcare System, according to a Central Coast News report.

SVMH recently extended the deadline for potential partners to submit letters of intent. With HCA out of the mix, Salinas, Calif.-based Natividad Medical Center is the only potential partner left. According to the report, SVMH still expects a letter of intent from Natividad. SVMH will decide to either merge with Natividad or remain a standalone organization.
