Oklahoma’s OU Medical Center Edmond Spends $5.6M in First Four Months Following Merger

OU Medical Center Edmond (Okla.), the facility formed from the April merger of Edmond Medical Center and OU Medical Center, has spent $5.6 million on new technology and surgical equipment in the past four months, according to a report by The Oklahoman.

The hospitals committed $17 million for upgrades and enhancements, including the return of obstetrics and women’s services, as part of the merger.

OU Medical Center Edmond also purchased a $1.5 million high definition surgical robot, which will be used in surgery within the next month.
