Ohio’s Sisters of Charity and University Hospitals Amend Ownership Agreements

Sisters of Charity Health System and University Hospitals in Cleveland announced that they will amend their current 50/50 joint ownership agreement for St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland and Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio, to give Sisters of Charity full ownership of the hospitals, according a joint news release.

Sisters of Charity and University Hospitals will maintain their 50/50 ownership agreement of St. John West Shore Hospital in Cleveland; however, University Hospitals will assume operations of the hospital through a new management agreement.
