Under the agreement, Novant will invest $50 million over 10 years to modernize the hospital and grow access to care in the region, the report said. Pender Medical Center is a 25-bed hospital that offers emergency care, surgery and imaging among other services. Novant Health has operated the hospital since 2021.
Novant aims to improve access to primary and specialty care through the acquisition and investment.
