Norton Healthcare Announces New, Enhanced Affiliations with 5 Hospitals in Kentucky, Indiana

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Ky., has announced new or enhanced affiliations with five regional community hospitals in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Norton has enhanced preexisting agreements with Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky., and Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Ind. The new agreements are with Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, part of Breckinridge Health, in Hardinsburg, Ky., Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, Ky., and Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, Ky.

The agreements include elements designed to enhance the quality of care available to patients in their home communities. Elements of the agreements include:

•    Access to training, education and management services for medical providers and services provided by Norton University and Norton Healthcare Institute for Nursing;
•    Development of new and existing clinical programs and services including the establishment of new subspecialty clinics;
•    Coordination of continuity of care for patients who require specialized or tertiary care;
•    Potential access to Norton Healthcare’s new state-of-the-art electronic medical record software.
