New York Hospital Examining Merger

Lenox Hill Hospital in New York is examining merger opportunities, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

The independent hospital has been struggling financially and laid off 45 workers in February, according to the report.

Possible partners for a merger or affiliation include North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, New York Presbyterian and NYU Langone Medical Center.
