New Non-Profit to Acquire Michigan’s Cheboygan Memorial

A newly formed non-profit entity will acquire rural Cheboygan (Mich.) Memorial Hospital, according to a Petoskey News report.

Non-profit Michigan Rural Healthcare Preservation will acquire the hospital’s assets and liabilities by the end of the year, pending regulatory approval, according to the report.

Financially struggling Cheboygan closed its obstetrics service and urgent care clinic earlier this year.
